This film follows Chairman Sean Mulryan as he reflects on the history, vision, and legacy of the Nine Elms masterplan. Speaking candidly, he recalls acquiring the 20-acre industrial site, the risk and conviction behind securing the US Embassy as its anchor, and the intention to create buildings of enduring character inspired by historic craftsmanship.
The film charts the development’s milestones; from the first residential phases to the creation of the world’s first sky pool, and explores the role of art, culture, and community in shaping place. As the final phase, The Capston is presented as the culmination of that journey: the closing chapter of a long-held vision to create a lasting and much-loved neighbourhood in London.
